How Bourgade Catholic Changed My Life

As a freshman, I did not understand the impact that Bourgade Catholic High School was going to have on my life. Looking back at the last eight years, I can say that it was a true blessing. BCHS, a school dedicated to meeting the needs of it’s students, did not only provide me with exceptional academic tools to succeed, but it also allowed me to gain a community of friends and mentors. Being part of BCHS has been an enriching experience where I have been able to grow into a strong and confident individual. Most importantly, I have been able to build relationships with people that have been there to encourage, support, and guide me throughout all of my endeavors. BCHS has had such a positive influence in my life that it is hard to imagine where I would be without it.

Throughout my four years, BCHS provided me with the best education by exposing me to a myriad of educational, social, and career opportunities. For instance, I had the opportunity to be involved in several extracurricular activities, such as BCHS Cheer Line, NAHS, and Mu Alpha Theta. In addition, the challenging classes prepared me to face college academics with confidence. As a result, I was able to attend Pepperdine University, study abroad in Argentina, and participate in a summer internship in Washington, DC. These, among other experiences, have allowed me to grow and have paved my way towards a bright future.

In addition, the people that makes BCHS have been key contributors to the positive experience that I had. The faculty, staff and the many BCHS families, in many unique ways, have shaped my life. They have served as a reliable support system where I have not only found inspiration and encouragement, but also comfort in hard times. BCHS does not only represent an educational opportunity, but a life long relationship that I truly cherish. I feel privileged to be part of such a great academic institution whose commitment goes beyond the classroom doors.

 Thank You,
