The Honors Program
Bourgade Catholic High School

By enrolling in the Honors Program as a freshman, the capable student has the potential to earn twelve to fifteen hours of college credit by the time of graduation.

The following Advanced Placement classes will be offered beginning 2007-2008:

Calculus AP Physics AP and College Credit through Rio Solado Community College
Spanish Language (Spanish 5-6 AP) Spanish Literature (Spanish 7-8 AP)
Studio Art AP United States History AP

In order to earn college credit, a student must be prepared to do extra work in these classes.  Students in Advanced Placement classes must take a national test in order to qualify for college credit. The cost is about $88.00 per test

In the senior year, qualified students will be able to take English as a dual credit class.  This means the student will receive college credit as well as high school credit.  Through Rio Salado Community College, students will take English 101 and English 102 here at Bourgade Catholic High School.  These students will have to pay the usual cost for college credits at a community college.
