to benefit the students of Hope to see you next year for Bourgade Catholic’s Quest for Excellence Dinner & Auction to be held on
Saturday, March 4, 2006 Quest for Excellence Auction 2005 Wrap-up. Our Honorees The auction gives us a wonderful opportunity to honor those who support Bourgade Catholic High School. Our honorees this year were Owen and Barbara Cotton and we thank them again for all they have done for and continue to do Bourgade Catholic. We cannot do this without the help of the entire Bourgade Catholic community, from the C0-Chairs, Carol de la Montaigne and Katie Svoboda to the Committee Chairs and the volunteers. Thank you, parents who mailed invitations, packaged and set up the silent auction, decorated, set up the facilities, bartended, served, monitored the silent auction, checked guests in and out, counted money, and cleaned up. Thanks to all of you who love Bourgade Catholic enough to give your time, talent, and treasure! Our student helpers were wonderful! They served so professionally, helped set up and cleanup, decorated, sold Mystery Envelopes, and helped guests stay out of the rain. The Band and Bell Choir were fantastic! They entertained at the Silent Auction along with alum Michael Broyles on keyboard. The fact that we accomplish this as a community instead of individuals is a testament to our faith and reflection of what Bourgade Catholic is all about. Donations, Donations, Donations! The Bourgade Community also came through with unbelievable donations for the Silent and Live Auctions. We had many more items for the Silent Auction than we have ever had before and great items for the Live Auction. Donations came from parents, Bourgade Catholic supporters, Bourgade Catholic staff and the community at large. Bourgade Catholic parents obtained many of the items and we thank you for your efforts and generosity! We thank our table sponsors and underwriters, who make so much possible! We partner with Outback Steakhouse each year and they provided a terrific steak dinner this year. We could not have this auction without their dedication to Bourgade Catholic and professional delivery of our dinner. We also want to thank Athletic Director, Ed Garrett, who served as a Master of Ceremonies and to Bob Coltin, our auctioneer. They were superb! A Reminder of Why We Hold the Auction We believe in Catholic education and we believe in the kind of Catholic education that Bourgade Catholic High School provides. We want young people to experience Bourgade, and the Auction helps us do that by providing financial aid to families who could not otherwise afford to send their children to Bourgade.
