Bourgade Catholic’s character is clearly illustrated through its student’s commitment to Learn, Lead, and Serve.  This approach helps Bourgade Catholic become a more vibrant part of our community every day.  To ensure that Bourgade Catholic's vision of education remains as holistic today as it was in 1962 when the school was founded, the school depends on contributions from members of our community. Bourgade Catholic's Office of  Advancement is dedicated to building relationships that help market the school and augment its operating budget. The Office of Advancement takes pride in helping shape generations of men and women who continually discover new ways to Learn, Lead, and Serve in the Bourgade Catholic tradition.

This year's Annual Appeal, themed "Learn. Lead. Serve." will directly support specific areas of the  Bourgade Catholic community.  Through your contribution to the 2008-2009 Annual Appeal, you will help support and strengthen:

1) The College Counseling Department

•  Over 40 members of the Class of 2008 received in excess of $5.5 million in college scholarships!!  Prior to this school year, the highest amount ever recorded in scholarships by a senior class was slightly over $2.5 million.  In addition, 98% of the graduating class will attend some form of higher education in the fall.  The support of the CCD will not only attract promising young students to Bourgade Catholic, it will continue to provide our current students with the knowledge and preparation to excel on higher educational levels.

2) Campus Ministry Initiatives

• Bourgade Catholic's campus ministry initiatives clearly demonstrate the school's commitment to Learn, Lead, and Serve.  Over 70 members of the Bourgade Catholic community, including students, faculty, and parents, participated in the annual Mexico Mission Trip.  All the participants traveled to Mexico where, under the leadership of our current students, they built three new houses for the less fortunate.  This past spring the Campus Ministry Department also held a Benefit Concert here on campus, which raised funds to purchase "Play Pumps."  .  Play Pumps are patented, sustainable, innovative water pumps that double as “merry go rounds” for children in poverty stricken countries.  Ultimately, Play Pumps provide easy access to clean drinking water, bring joy to children, and lead to improvements within health, education, gender equality, and economic development.  These are just two examples of the various programs your contribution to  the 2008-2009 Learn.Lead.Serve. Annual Appeal will support.

3) Facility Upgrades--Renovation of the patio roof outside Madonna Hall

• Many Bourgade Catholic students take advantage of  their lunch period by eating outside on the patio behind Madonna Hall.  This year it is necessary that we renovate the roof of that patio.  Support of annual projects such as these help keep Bourgade Catholic's campus clean, safe, and enjoyable.  Designated contributions towards this aspect of the Annual Appeal help keep our facilities abreast with our current needs.  More importantly, they are greatly appreciated by members of our student body, faculty, staff, and overall community.
